Has it really been 40 years since a teenage boy huddled with his family around the B&W TV in El Paso, Texas? The Boston Globe has an excellent pictorial commemorating Apollo 11.
Here is a list of little known facts about the Apollo 11 mission, including the fact that Buzz Aldrin participated in a personal communion service:
It was interesting for me to think: the very first liquid ever poured on the moon, and the very first food eaten there, were the communion elements. (Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, who also had another first.)
