I was fortunate to be chosen at the end of May as the recipient of several books from Reformation Heritage Bookstore as a result of my participation in the 2008 Puritan Reading Challenge. One of these is Meet the Puritans by Beeke and Pederson. I already own a copy of this magnificent book, and have decided that I am going to give away this pristine extra copy (I haven't even drooled on it!). I will even pay the shipping stateside, and will consider paying shipping overseas if it won't break the bank.
Here is what you need to do to be eligible. Post a comment to this thread between now and the end of July stating that you want to be considered. I will pick one entry at random, using some type of sophisticated methodology (possibly involving a mayonaisse jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch) at the beginning of August.
Just post a comment, you don't even need to write anything profound. Make sure that you provide your email address so that I will be able to contact you to obtain your shipping information.
Don't thank me, thank Timmy Brister and the good folks at Reformation Heritage. Better yet, give thanks to God.

I own this and love it - so please don't consider me for giving this book to - unless you'd like me to give it to my Pastor who doesn't own it and should...
But as a non-american living in the states - is there a story behind the Funk and Wagnell's Mao remark?
For more info on the mayo jar comment, look here.
You can win on behalf of your pastor, so I will put your name in the mix.
Thanks to getting started with Timmy's Puritan Reading Challenge I have been encouraged to do quite a bit of Puritan reading this year. I actually owned several books by Puritan authors that I hadn't yet read. Until the challenge, I hadn't thought of them as being "puritan authors" but as authors of books I wanted to read. It gave a new perspective to the reading of these books.
Thanks for offering up this great reference!
I would love a copy of this book! I think I will need it for a class on the Puritans I am taking in the Fall.
Jerry,
Please put me in the jar. I love reading the works of the Puritans, and I love reading about the Puritans.
Thanks,
I came here from "While We Sojourn". I'd love to be in the running for this book. I'm a great reader of the Puritans myself and do anything I can to get others to read them for themselves. This seems like a good book to read, review, and then to give to others.
I'll be off now to poke around your blog and see what you're up to. I find the best blogs by following links from blogs I love. . .
Please put my name in that mayo jar too! Thank you!!
oh, please enter me too. :)

I've heard glowing things about this book, so I'd like to be added to the drawing for this one.
