Much Ado Over Ida (Nothing)

Unless you have been asleep for the last 48 hours you have probably heard of Ida, the so-called "8th Wonder of the World" and the "Missing Link". Reading some of the hype you would think that Ida was found clutching a document detailing her evolutionary journey towards humanity.

Even Google got into the act, changing their logo:

However, even with all the "Darwin Bicentennial" hoopla, not everyone is impressed. Maybe they remember frauds like Piltdown man, and are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Possibly they have been fooled too many times in the past.

And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so. And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:24, 25, ESV)

Update: Answers in Genesis has a concise review of Ida.

Additional Update: This is the best response I have have seen.
